[Milestone + Bonus Illustration 2 & BTS] Thank you for 150+ downloads!
Hiiiiii, again!
Wowowow, honestly it's a little crazy to me how fast we are hitting milestones! I never thought 100 people would download my game, so we've already exceeded my expectations. Of course, that means I come bearing gifts. I have two things I want to share today! First, some bonus art:
Auriame in the style of Weyes Blood's "And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow." I have a playlist of a few songs that remind me of the heavensent characters, and one I like for Auriame is God Turn Me Into a Flower. Honestly it's kind of a weird pick since the album deals with a lot of modern-day type feelings, but this song just stands out to me. So, I hope you like this small illustration~ Maybe next milestone I'll do an album cover style for Odette :3 ?
The next thing I thought would be interesting to share, and I actually mention it in my "Special Thanks" section at the very end of the game, is the original 300-ish words from my Thousand Year Old Vampire playthrough that inspired me to write this whole dang thing. Which means, SPOILERS! Go read my story and come back to check this section! But if you've already read it and want to check out the passage, I've concealed it under the arrow below~
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
I convinced [Auriame] to follow me. I don’t know how. I’m sure she could see my crazed eyes, but she didn’t care. Maybe it’s because there’s never been a problem between us, or maybe it’s because I was her only friend. I can’t spend time to think about it, I have to keep up the act. We snuck out of the dormitories, like we always did, and went to our regular spot–a defunct and crumbling fountain, long abandoned in the forest that surrounds this place. We laid under the stars. It felt different, but of course it did. I was hungry, so hungry it made me crazy. École du Sacré-Cœur is nothing like the streets of Reims, where meals are plenty. Here, we’re under constant radar. Everyone and everything is accounted for. But tomorrow, someone will be found missing. I’m sorry [Auriame], it couldn’t have been anyone else. I know if anyone could understand, it would be you. I tried to do it peacefully, but I didn’t want her to fight. As she laid with her eyes closed, I stood quietly and took a large chunk of stone from the cracked fountain. She didn’t see me as I slammed it into her skull with a grunt. She made an inhuman noise of dazed pain as her right cheekbone caved in. When I was sure she was unconscious, I drank. I drank enough to fill me for weeks. I licked the blood that pooled on the pavement beneath her head. [Auriame] was not coming back. I dragged her body away from the fountain and deeper into the woods, concealing her in the foliage. I used her sweater and the old stagnant water from the fountain to wipe the blood away, and then I slipped back into the dormitory, full and, in all honesty, somewhat exhilarated. Let us pray I don’t get used to this.
Anyways, hahaha, do you guys find that interesting? I hope so!! It's pretty different than what happens in the visual novel... Waahhh, I seriously can't even think of enough ways to thank everyone for the support, I've enjoyed hearing everyone's thoughts, and have even heard a few ways in which people were hoping it would end. That's particularly really fun for me~ Some people have even come up with plot points that would have added a whole bunch more toxicity XoX The creativity everyone has showcased to me really is endless...
Well, that's all I've got for now!!
Until next time \^w^/
